Counselling
Prahran Psychology provides counselling for a wide range of presenting issues. We help with the full spectrum of clinical (diagnosable condition) and non-clinical (general life stuff) issues.
The therapeutic process starts off with a comprehensive clinical assessment that will help us to determine what needs to be addressed. This may lead to a formalised diagnosis that will inform what comes next. Subsequent counselling will inform evidence-based techniques to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. Through the counselling process you can expect to develop a range of insights and strategies that aim to help you overcome and eventually thrive.
Assessment
Everyone who attends Prahran Psychology will undergo a clinical assessment. Clinical assessment is conducted via interview (a mix of structured questions and conversation) and psychometric testing (questionnaires that identify specific symptoms). Based on this information, we will diagnose a specific condition that will then inform the appropriate treatment.
